What are Traded endowment funds?
|
A Traded Endowment Fund
is made up of a collection of Traded Endowment Policies (TEPs). These, like traded life policies, are life assurance contracts that have been sold by the policyholder in return for a cash settlement.
These funds are medium risk as most TEPs are with-profit policies and will almost certainly have a stock market related investment content.
In addition, investors need to be aware of any penalties that may apply to the policies and/or the fund in adverse market conditions, such as a Market Value Adjustment (MVA).
